As a parent, we want our children to be happy and confident. Speech & Drama lessons are the ideal way to achieve this. In a friendly, caring environment your child is encouraged to speak out, to participate in group activities and to develop their imaginative skills. Being confident enough to speak in front of others will not only benefit your child in school, but is also a LIFE skill. Examinations, conferences, debates, the list is endless! There are so many times in life when we are expected to present ourselves to others and this can be a very nerve wracking experience if we are not prepared and confident!
Based in Marple, Compstall & Bramhall, Stage Struck is aimed at children from 4-18 years of age. The lessons are all specifically designed for learning through fun. A variety of games and exercises are used to build confidence and expand imagination. Improvisation and mime are excellent ways to learn about acting skills and to develop team work.
In order to celebrate the children’s talents, we actively encourage our students to take part in community events. During the past 11 years we have participated in several local church services and held 10 charity productions. (Full details here.) We also offer the opportunity for our pupils to take examinations (at our own LAMDA centre), to enter local Speech & Drama Festivals and to attend our summer workshop.
